Environmental Buoy/Regatta Beacon
Project Summary
The goal is to develop and design an electronic buoy which is recording, storing and broadcasting all relevant data.
The project requirements are:
Support structures for the sensors, control and power systems
Power autonomy
Wind, water, position, camera, etc. sensors
Wireless communication
On board data storage
Web-based user interface
Display over Google Maps
Comply with the following EU Directives:

Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (
2002/95/EC 2003-01-27);

Use open source technologies.
